The body and energy

Chakras are our internal energy vortexes where energy flows in channels throughout the body and around the body. Our energy is affected by our thoughts, feelings, people, activities, environment, relationships and general health. When there is an energy imbalance then this means that energy isn’t flowing freely which causes it to build up leading to resistance where illness can result. In Chinese medicine they refer to meridian lines within the body, this is where energy flows, each meridian regulates a particular organ, they are all interconnected and each play crucial role in health of the entire body. Locating energy blocks enables energy to be released, which then allows the energy to flow, harmony is restored and wellbeing is promoted.
Been aware of your vibration and energy supports your mind and body in more ways than you will realise. The body is amazing and is constantly communicating within its self. Things happen on a cellular level, chemicals are released and muscles react without us even been aware. When you have happy uplifting thoughts you start to have more energy and feel brighter. The opposite happens when you have negative thoughts, you feel low in energy depleted. You have to be aware of what drains your energy and what fuels your energy, do more of what fuels it! When we are happy then the body produces serotonin, endorphins, dopamine and oxytocin but when we have stress on the body it releases a chemical called cortisol which is secreted from the adrenal gland. Having excess amounts of cortisol can seriously impact the biological systems. Therefore, we definitely need to manage our stress levels a lot better to avoid health implications caused by stress.
Doing things such as Yoga, meditation, walking in nature, having good work/life balance, reading motivational and inspiring books, learning marital arts, doing art - what ever you find that you really enjoy and can switch off from everything else going on then you really need to do that as often as you can. This will help reduce the effects of stress on the body and produce those good chemicals which are so much better for us.
Incorporate subtle energy balancing methods by buying some crystals for your home or to wear. Rose Quartz, Tigers Eye and Tourmaline are each great pieces and wonderful energy. Use essential oils around the home, lavender is smoothing has anti-inflammatory properties helps you relax, Lemon is uplifting and has amazing antibacterial properties. Do some yoga, that creates your internal energy that will help clear our blockages and you just feel amazing after practice. Just become more aware, be present in the moment that is occurring now practice grounding yourself to connect to the Earth’s energy. When you learn to practice more energy healing techniques then your vibration begins to heighten which means you start attracting more of the good stuff, or sometimes it can be the crap stuff in order for you to grow and learn some more in that area. But once you do the energy will be released and you will be able to move on with that part of your energy.

Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine, related to Physical self, self-preservation, survival instincts, connection to our bodies and the earth.
It’s colour is red and related organs Bones, tailbone, adrenal glands (according to some), legs, feet, colon.
Blockages may show up as been over fearful abour security and survival or you may lack ambition and imagination.
Sacral Chakra is located just below the navel related to Sexuality, emotions, eroticism, pleasure, creativity, sensation.
It’s colour is orange and related organs Sexual organs, bladder, prostate, womb, kidneys.
Blockages may show up as been low sex drive, don’t like experiencing joy or your hyper emotional.
Solar plexus Chakra is located between navel and sternum related to Ego, will, metabolism, personal power.
Its colour is yellow and related organs Digestive organs and system, immune system (according to some), adrenal glands (according to some), muscles (according to some)
Blockages may show up as lacking confidence, lack of self esteem, shame or fatigue.
Heart Chakra is located middle of the chest, related to Love, integration, self-love, compassion, healing, relationships.
Its colour is green and related organs Lungs, thymus, heart, respiratory & cardiac systems, arms, hands
Blockages may show up as loneliness, difficulty accepting or giving love, loving too much or lack of connection.
Throat Chakra is located base of throat, related to Communication, self-expression, creativity.
Its colour is blue and related organs Throat/neck, mouth, ears, nose, sinuses, thyroid & parathyroid glands, shoulders, arms, hands.
Blockages may show up as inability to communicate effectively, problems with self expression, or deceptive of self or others.
Brow also known as 3rd Eye Chakra is located forehead slightly above brows middle of head, related to, both physical and intuitive/psychic; intellect.
Its colour is indigo and related organs Eyes, pituitary gland, hypothalamus, medulla plexus.
Blockages may show up as lack of vision, concentration or clouded intuition,
Crown Chakra is located just above the head related to Spiritual life and experience, deep self-knowledge, sense of oneness and unity, connection to the One, pure consciousness, transcendence.
Its colour is white or purple and related organs are Upper skull, cerebral cortex, pineal gland.
Blockages may show up as feeling ungrounded, impractical or difficulty finishing things and feeling connected.

You can also look for what essential oils are good for that chakra. Or you could do a guided meditation on youtube (there are loads!) same with Yoga! literally type in chakra mediation/yoga just 5 minutes is better than none.
There is something which happens once we start being honest and truthful with ourselves, it allows your authentic self to come through and have a voice. The authentic self is your soul, the real you that you were meant to be, not the self been driven by the Ego. When you being to practice some of these things I have discussed in this post then you will begin to peel the many layers that you have, and begin to dismiss those views of self doubt and fear. Energy work enables you to be the best version of you, allows you to flow with life and flourish. Take the first step into a more balance, healthier, happy and grounded you.
